£13 per hour

Position Description:
Are you an HGV Mechanic with a desire to get behind the wheel and respond to incidents across your area? If so, we have the right job for you. We are recruiting for a responsible and self-motivated Mobile HGV Mechanic who can be trusted by an international company to keep their fleet in full working order by planning maintenance and servicing as well as responding to call outs. You will be working shifts which are split between your team.
Experience of refrigeration is a bonus.
You must be competent with vehicle electrics and mechanics.
Skills Required:
To be successful in winning this role you will be able to demonstrate a successful working history of mechanics on HGV’s.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Excellent knowledge of mechanics & electrics.
- Full Driving Licence (preferably including full HGV entitlements).
- Appropriate technical qualifications.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures. Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Planning and time management. Apprenticeship training as commercial fitter.
- Extensive experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment.
- City & Guilds levels 1 and 2.
