Position Description:

Proftech Talent are involved in the recruitment of a Design Engineer to work in a niche engineering business which designs and supplies bespoke extremely heavy machinery around the globe. The role of a Design Engineer involves some international travel to visit client sites and attend engineering shows.
The Design Engineer will immediately begin training to learn the unique nature of this industry then get more involved with creating 2D and 3D designs, technical drawings, using rendering software, creating user guides and risk assessments.
The aim of this role is to be a successor for the Technical Manager with a strong possibility of becoming a Technical Director in 4 to 5 years’ time.
Skills Required:
We are recruiting for a Design Engineer who has designed heavy industrial mechanical equipment. We are especially interested in candidates who have experience of designing material handling equipment such as conveyors and other automation equipment.
You will be competent in using AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks and have at least 10 years’ experience of design using these software’s.
You will need to be qualified to HND or Degree level in an Engineering Discipline such as Mechanical or Product design.
