Prudential Risk Manager

The candidate will be responsible for the organisation and the provision of expert technical advice for all Treasury areas in relation to prudential requirements, to ensure that all processes, policies and products meet regulatory requirements and Treasury related regulatory change is identified, analysed and appropriately embedded into business as usual activity in a timely and accurate manner.

•Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with all Treasury teams, Compliance Advice, Compliance Oversight and Risk Oversight.
•Using your excellent external networking skills in order to research market practices and seek improvement where possible.
•Providing regulatory support and challenge in relation to the prudential rules on interpretation, compliance and policy developments.
•Applying compliant but commercial solutions to embedding regulatory change
•Taking ownership for regulatory advice and managing the regulatory activity and input.
•Maintain an in-depth knowledge of regulatory development in the Financial Services industry, compliance controls and MI requirements and translate these into internal policies and procedures.
•Influencing regulatory developments by compiling persuasive and effective responses to regulators' consultative documents following consultation with all interested internal parties.

Skills and Experience

•Have the ability to act objectively and maintain independence
•Have the ability to comprehend and assimilate information rapidly whilst working in diverse and complex business areas
•Have the ability to coordinate team resource to regulatory Treasury projects
•Have a detailed understanding of prudential regulation, demonstrate you have analysed regulation, and its application
•Have an ability to analyse, interpret and embed regulatory text in a concise and practical manner
•Have a detailed understanding of the PRA and European requirements such as CRR/CRDIV, LCR, NSFR.
•Hold a Compliance or Legal qualification
•Be comfortable coaching and giving effective development feedback to colleagues
