Summary

The organization is undertaking transformation programmes to ensure Global Private Banking (GPB) products and services are accessible to customers through digital channels. The organization’s Digital programme is of particular priority given the reach and impact of financial technology innovation and increasing customer demand for online and mobile engagement. As the GPB Digital Risk Lead, the role holder will work closely with the GPB Head of Digital, coordinating and facilitating the engagement in GPB Digital projects from all Risk functions, ensuring that digital risk is properly recognised, assessed and mitigated, and risk management strategies, tools, policies and standards are in place.

Responsibilities

•The job holder will be given full support to carry out the role, however, the job holder also needs to be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously. The job holder will be encouraged to explore new ideas and seek solutions. The ability to work to tight timescales is essential.
•The jobholder will deputise, in case of need, for the GPB Head of Digital at key certain key meetings and committees and will in this respect act under a delegated authority.
•The jobholder does not have any personal credit approval authorities.
•Detailed understanding: early and comprehensive articulation of financial crime, fraud, information security, legal and regulatory risk requirements across the GPB markets will be crucial for the Digital work streams to succeed with strong, effective controls and to avoid late stage disruption.
•Dynamic environment: strong innovation in financial technology will result in new and emerging risks, opportunities and threats
•Varied and changing workload, often with tight deadlines, leading to a need to juggle multiple priorities
•Discretion, owing to the sensitive and /or confidential nature of some of the projects that the incumbent would be involved in.
•The need to build a network of working relationships across the Digital Function / GPB line of business

Skills and Experience

•Strong understanding of digital products and solutions.
•Significant understanding of Risk areas inherent in providing banking products and services to individuals, particularly the emerging Fraud, Legal, Information Security and Compliance risks inherent in web-based services.
•Ability to help guide digital strategy in line with the Operation Risk Framework.
•Experience constructively challenging the status quo, particularly from a digital innovation perspective.
•Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of matrix, cross-functional and globally located teamwork.
•Strong organisational skills and administrative efficiency
•Ability to prioritise, work autonomously and manage his/ her time effectively. Strong attention to detail, accuracy.
•Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and confidence to deal with senior / executive management.
•Agile software delivery experience using SCRUM or Kanban methodology, with continuous delivery to live. Experience using modern software delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Pivotaltracker etc experience useful but not essential
