Teacher of Fabrication and Welding required in Scarborough!
Castle Education are looking for an experienced lecturer or tutor of Fabrication and Welding. Our client is an innovative college in North Yorkshire and this is an excellent opportunity to join them at an exciting time, in this potentially long-term ongoing role.
The college require an enthusiastic teacher to deliver Fabrication and Welding within their Engineering department 3-4 days per week. If you are passionate about delivering an outstanding student experience and helping learners reach their full potential, then this is the role for you!
You will be responsible for the delivery of an outstanding student experience in your lessons. You will ensure that the highest standards are delivered in teaching, learning and assessment and that students are able to reach their full potential, completing all the elements in their study programme in a timely manner.
You will have at least a level 3 qualification in the fabrication and welding profession, as well as relevant vocational experience. You will be highly motivated with the ability to use your initiative to pre-empt and solve issues if and when they arise. You will be able to demonstrate that you are responsive and can differentiate to the needs of the learner. You will have a quality mind set, being able to demonstrate seeking out better and more innovative ways of doing things whether that be in delivery, preparation or assessment of learners.
The skills, experience and qualities we are looking for include:
- Relevant vocational experience
- Enthusiasm for teaching Fabrication and Welding
- Commitment to working with pupils of different backgrounds and different levels of ability
- Strong Classroom Management Skills
- Reviewing and monitoring pupils' work; assess and record pupils' progress
- Use an appropriate range of teaching strategies and resources
