Teacher of Childcare (VC2507) Scarborough, England
Castle Education are looking for an experienced teacher of Childcare in Scarborough. Our client is an innovative college in North Yorkshire and this is an excellent opportunity to join them at an exciting time, in this potentially long-term ongoing role.
The college require an enthusiastic teacher to deliver Childcare 3 days per week. If you are passionate about delivering an outstanding student experience and helping learners reach their full potential, then this is the role for you.
Applicants should ideally have a teaching qualification and a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. A Level 4 subject specialist qualification would also be preferable, as well as experience across the levels of BTEC Childcare. You must be eligible to work in the UK and successful placement will be subject to being granted or holding a valid DBS.
Your role will include coordinating a coherent learning programme and provision through effective teamwork and you will take responsibility for ensuring quality advice, guidance, achievement, success and progression of individual learners.

- Relevant vocational experience
- Enthusiasm for teaching Childcare
- Commitment to working with pupils of different backgrounds and different levels of ability
- Strong Classroom Management Skills
- Reviewing and monitoring pupils' work; assess and record pupils' progress
- Use an appropriate range of teaching strategies and resources
