Are you an experience transport planner with strong planning skills?

Do you hold a full clean drivers’ licence and a CPC?

This vacancy will be for a permanent member of staff to join a leading tier 1 automotive manufacturer based in the Washington area. The responsibilities of the role are as follows:-

• Plan freight routes throughout Europe between company locations, supplier locations and customer locations.
• Manage and support supplier freight companies.
• Maintain standard processes and procedures, ensuring staff have the latest information available to them.
• Plan resource to support company operations.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance is planned in to support company insurance requirements.
• Maintain and update KPI’s.
• Accident and incident investigations and reporting.
• Ensure driving staff follow legal obligations in respect to the working time directive rules for drivers.
• Ensure driving staff adhere to all legal and company guidelines and arrange relevant training.

To be successful in this role you will need:-

• Excellent planning skills.
• Experience in managing freight planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• To be able to demonstrate a positive & flexible attitude.
• To have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Full driving license essential
• Experience in a fast paced environment, preferably automotive experience.
• Exercise high standards of H&S at all times, including environmental safety awareness
