Our client, world's largest liquefied natural gas company, is urgently looking for a “Head of System Completion” willing to work under the following conditions:

Contract Duration: 66 Months (5 ½ Years) Estimated End Date – Dec 2023

Work Schedule: 5 days/Week & 10 hours/day

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordination and alignment of engineering, quality and execution activities for Systems Completion of FEED Contractor and PMT

 

Job Context

  • Reviews/approves system completion and commissioning deliverables for inclusion in the EPC and ESW ITB packages;
  • Responsible to drive FEED Contractor for the timely completion of these deliverables
  • Actively participates in unpriced (technical) bid evaluation of the EPC and ESW tender packages
  • Drives ongoing focus on system completion deliverables throughout FEED and EPC
  • Works closely with operations advisors to align on SIMOPs, Brownfield scope and systems completion strategy
  • Provides timely reporting of site activity to Onshore Project Manager

 

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Ensures Contractor achieves quality per the NFE Onshore Project Quality Management Plan
  • Ensures overall compliance with Projects specifications, procedures and plans
  • Endorses construction field changes and extra work requests as delegated by the NFE Onshore Construction Manager
  • Provides timing reporting to Onshore Construction Manager
  • Works in a project environment to create a culture that encourages everyone to contribute to their best ability every day
  • Coordinates significantly complex internal and external interfaces including the potential for simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)
  • Clear and concise communications required with NFE Onshore PMT, FEED Contractor and Site Team to ensure continuity in execution of EPC Agreement
  • Leads by example and demonstrates high integrity in all details while sensitive to multi-cultural differences and effective communications with individuals for whom English is second language.
  • Interacts effectively with Project Teams and Departments to resolve issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to influence without authority
  • Works complex tasks to completion with minimal supervision intervention

 

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering

 

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in a Project Execution related environment with broad experience of projects, engineering and systems completion
  • Recent (within 2 years) experience of working in the field at Ras Laffan dealing with Brownfield Projects and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS)
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds

 

Technical and Business Skills

  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
