This position is for a System and Application Engineer out of our facility in Plymouth, MI.
System and Application engineer for Ultrasonic Park Assist systems. This is a long term position, with a 1-year training program in Germany, to specialize in current and new park assist systems and technologies.
Major Duties Include
*Develop expertise (with Training) in park assist systems including:
Ultrasonic Sensor technology, Module hardware design, software/feature management and algorithm development, development tools.
*Provide expertise and guidance (after training) to application engineers throughout the development and implementation phases.
*Assist in problem solving
*Be the go-to person for all park assist functions and applications.
*Develop System FMEAs
*Manage requirements in DOORS
*Single point of contact for the platform team
*Actively participate in new technology development tasks
*Create and implement new development tools and methodology
*BSEE or Equivalent
*Knowledge of vehicle networking (CAN/LIN) and the ability to write embedded software (C and/or Assembly)
*Ability to understand module design (electrical and Mechanical)
*Working experience with DOORS and experience developing FMEAs
*Good understanding of System Engineering Methodology
*Requires 1st year of training in Germany
*MSEE or Equivalent
*Experience in vehicle data acquisition systems
*System Calibration experience is highly desirable
*Excellent project management skills
