Salary:  GBP65000 - GBP85000 per annum + Plus Bonus, Pension, 25 days holiday

A position for a Java Developer at a leading Investment Bank that has done exceptionally with profits in Q1 2009 and Q2 2009.

The role is an exciting one that will be concerned with creating a Java framework for the new pricing and booking tool for the Equity Derivatives Business. Work will involve taking the project from inception through to development various areas of the equity derivatives business.

The successful candidate will liaise extensively with C# developers working on other programs, specifically real-time risk in order to ensure a common approach is maintained across the business area.

In addition to technical responsibilities there will be an opportunity to act as a Team Lead to other less experienced members, mentor and develop them in Java, architecture and software development. However, line management responsibility is optional, and candidates wishing for a purely technical role are welcome to apply.

The following skills are essential:
Strong Core Java/J2SE
Oracle Coherence
Experience working alongside .Net development streams
Experience with high performance messaging environments (MQ, TIBCO EMS/RV)
Investment banking experience, ideally in developing derivatives pricing and booking tools

Nice to have skills:
Some knowledge of C# programming
Working on Multiple OS
Datasynapse
Gigaspace
