Salary: GBP200 - GBP200 per day

We are recruiting for two HR Shared Services Assistants to join our client based in Birmingham on a 6-month interim contract.  This is an exciting role working for a prestigious public sector client, working on an exciting contract.

Reporting into the HR Projects Lead, we are looking for an experienced HR Shared Services Assistants who have:

  • Standard HR process/procedures/policy knowledge and employee law knowledge
  • Experience of advisory service front line managers/employees
  • Previous experience of supporting wide scale operational change programmes would be advantageous (re-organisation/change/redeployment)
  • Knowledge of employee collective and individual consultation processes
  • HR compliance experience

As a Shared Services Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the HR directorate with all transactional and operational day-to-day HR activities such as the end to end recruitment process, successful on boarding of new staff and the efficient administration of other HR processes in a rapidly expanding organisation. Development of HR processes and provide ‘first-line’ advice to line managers and staff in the application of policies and procedures.

 Some of the duties the Shared Services Assistant will undertake include: 

  • Providing first-line advice to line managers and employees in the application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing and updating the e-recruitment system and recruitment administration activity for all permanent, fixed term, temporary/interim and secondment recruitment
  • Support the on-boarding process for all candidates including creating offer letters and contracts, induction arrangements, building access and reference checking along with all associated pre-employment checks.
  • Purchase orders and reconciliation.
  • Process HR transactional activities including promotions, allowances, starter/leavers and payroll matters, to ensure smooth running and adherence to key business SLAs.
  • Dealing with the HR Shared Services inbox emails.
