IT Analyst – Application/PLM Software Support – Coventry

IT Analyst / Application Support / PLM / Teamcenter / Enovia / SolidWorks / 2^nd line support

IT Analyst required for a leading manufacturing company based in Coventry to be responsible for supporting the Engineering application project deployments and supporting various engineering applications across the business’ environment. You will be working with users, doing installs, troubleshooting issues, and also providing some basic training to users that may be required during the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Business Relationship Managers, the Engineering IT Analyst will be responsible for identifying future engineering business system needs, and recommending technology solutions to meet these requirements in a cost effective and future proof manner.
• Document the engineering applications landscape and applications standards and freely communicate this with the business, internal MIS team members and vendors.
• Support governance and ensure adherence to technical policies and best practice across all engineering transformation projects.
• Maintain awareness of new engineering applications technologies and recommend new technologies that can bring commercial advantage to the business.
• Support our Application Managed Services (AMS) team on engineering issues.
• Lead/support root cause investigation following critical application issues/failures to embed lessons learned and prevent future failures.

Key Skills

• Ability to write business requirements and understand technical documentation.
• Service Desk experience – 1^st and 2^nd line support.
• Knowledge of PLM software solution capabilities, such as 3DExperience, Enovia, Windchill, Teamcenter, SolidWorks etc. and other engineering/design/analysis applications and software development systems.
• Experience of working with geographically distributed enterprise/systems and developing distributed system architecture.
• Good verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Business Managers, Colleagues, and Vendors.
• Experience of working in manufacturing, aerospace or automotive sector preferred.
• Experience of integration of Engineering Solutions with SAP ERP Systems is preferred.

The salary my client is offering for this position is between £40,000 and £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
