As part of this campaign we are seeking a hands-on Scrum Master to join and lead the development team to deliver a variety of software solutions based around eCommerce.
The Scrum Master would responsible for continuing and developing the use of Agile principles and Scrum values within the Software Engineering team, providing leadership that ensures high quality, efficient and effective delivery. The role will focus on building effective cross-functional, collaborative teams and integrated pipelines to deliver projects in line with the business strategy using both in-house and external development resources.
This role will be split between office based work and Working from home with some travel to the companies other office.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning of work with the Software Engineering team – prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team, agreeing scheduling and active management of any deviation
- Facilitate backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning meetings, sprint demos and retrospectives, in line with agile practices.
- To be the subject matter expert in Agile principles, practices and methodologies.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
- Monitor and administer project backlogs and work requests with business analysts to support sprint planning.
- Assist with requests, testing, providing solutions and solving technical issues.
Key Skills
- Experience leading Software development teams using high performance Java applications
- Be a confident user of Agile / BDD methodology
- Resilient and a self-starter, able to manage multiple priorities and work streams simultaneously in an organised, structured and proactive manner
- Capable of coaching teams to achieve high standards of output, professionalism & quality; able to foster a supportive and trusting environment in which healthy honesty flourishes
- Working to tight deadlines, under pressure and bringing order and structure to the delivery in a matrix ‘start-up type’ environment
