My client is one of the most exciting logistics companies in the UK. They are a privately owned, logistics company providing complete UK coverage to an impressive range of household name customers.
They believe in reliable, high quality, value for money supply chain solutions from a warehouse footprint of approximately 4 million ft² and over 160 vehicles. They differentiate themselves from the competition by providing innovative technology solutions for their customers.
The company now needs a Head of IT Applications. In that role you will be responsible for managing a small team (currently 8 people) to design, deliver and support applications that are central to the organisation’s success. Specifically: Warehouse Management (JDA), Transport Management, CRM (MS Dynamics, Azure), Mobile Applications, and Integration technologies.
Within this role your responsibilities will include have a mixture of Solution Design, Team Management / Development, Supplier Management, and Commercial results.

Please note we are looking for someone with good access to the M4 Corridor and the client are happy with some home working aswell as 2 days on my client’s sites!!!
Key Skills required,
- Experience of managing logistics applications / Systems within a Logistics sector organisation
- (ideally with a 3rd Party Logistics provider, but possibly from another sector that has significant
- exposure to logistics)
- Solution Design
- Team Management
- Integration technologies
- A background in applications development, reporting environments, and mobile App development lifecycle, would be advantageous
