Fruugo has appointed Crimson as its IT recruitment partner, as it embarks on a campaign to expand their development capability through hiring multiple development professionals, Infrastructure Engineers, SCRUM Masters and Business Analysts.

As part of this campaign we are seeking hands-on Java Developers to join a development team to deliver a variety of software solutions based around eCommerce.

Solutions will include working on retailer data feeds, delivering functional enhancements for consumers, pricing algorithms, integration with machine translation services, processing multiple product changes, updating payment security, assessing potential fraud, and the creation of tools and dashboards for retailer analysis.

Stakeholder management skills are essential as you will be required to work closely with clients and other stakeholders across the business. We are looking for Developers who are capable of taking requirements from the business through to Quality Assurance testing of their code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with complex proprietary systems and create new systems to solve consumer, retailer or customer issues
  • Estimate the complexity of work using story points
  • Interpret user stories into technical tasks
  • Software solution creation
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

Key Skills

  • Excellent Java Enterprise Edition Java EE/J2EE software development experience
  • Good knowledge of Maven (or similar), Git and Linux
  • Experience of Unit Testing
  • Knowledge of CI development experience
  • eCommerce background is desirable
  • Clear written and verbal communication.

Our client is offering up to £40,000 to £65,000 per annum for this position depending on experience.
