My client is an exciting online platform allowing people to sell directly to the trade in a fair, transparent (and profitable!) transaction.

I am looking for an experienced Development Team Leader to lead and develop my clients expanding technical team.

You will possess a passion for all things digital and be very keen to keep up to date with new and emerging technologies. You will be working closely with the CEO you will lead and grow an in-house and outsourced development team with a hands-on approach. Operating with a high degree of autonomy; performance will be measured through a consistent high- quality output, code reviews and daily team updates.

Responsibilities,

• Technical lead for platform development, including the development of core features.
• Overall responsibility for the Agile software delivery pipeline, including CI/CD, infrastructure
• Work closely with product management to define best-in-class technical and product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of high-quality, secure software
• A delivery mindset - We have a lot to do in a short space of time.
• Experience building, running and leading high performing, autonomous engineering teams in complex environments
• Form an architectural approach that provides the basis for our platform of current and future digital products, whilst balancing near-term milestones with long-term vision
• Setting and maintaining code standards ie code reviews, static code analysis
• Ongoing regular assessment of 3rd party suppliers, partners, and competitors and management of technical suppliers and partners

Skills,

• Test-driven development
• Strong experience of core technology stack: Java, Scala, React.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• Experience of cloud technologies including: AWS, Terraform, Rancher, Docker
• Experience of leading a team of remote engineers.
• Experience of mobile development

Leadership,

• Proven track record of communicating effectively with stakeholders, development team plus other company functions
• Experience working directly with CEO and investors with capability of communicating tech terminology to business partners
• Full ownership of product strategy and roadmap
• Lead and develop our existing ambitious development team
• Be part of the senior leadership team and drive the product vision of Tootle
• Setting and driving the strategy together with your team

My client is offering a competitive salary of between £70,000 and £85,000 depending on experience
