About the Organisation:

I'm working with a leading NGO known for building strength in Aboriginal families and communities through Foster Care, Community Support, Education and much more.

About the Role:

As a Social Worker you'll be forming part of the clinical service concentrating on family preservation.  You will work intensively to support Aboriginal families with high psychosocial vulnerabilites that have high child protection risk.  You'll be providing in-home, individually tailored parenting support to facilitate and repair attachment between carer and child whilst working closely with the caseworkers who will be managing the other support needs of the family.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Worker eligible for membership with the AASW
• 3 years (or more) experience in a related field
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with parents, families and children/young people
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families and children
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child protection issues and legislation

Additional info:

• Excellent Remuneration : Paying up to $89,000 P/A plus Super
• Generous Salary Packaging available (up to $16,000 tax free)
• Must have NSW WWCC
• Must have NSW drivers licence
• Must be willing to travel across Metropolitan Sydney during work hours
