Senior HBase/Oracle Database/ Data warehouse Architect-3 month contract to hire/direct hire-Downtown San Francisco, CA
We are seeking a Senior Hbase/Oracle Database/ Data warehouse Architect to work for one of the the world’s top retail manufacturers. This individual will be working as an individual contributor with a team of architects and will be responsible for Hbase database structure, configuration, installation and practice. This project involves a migration from Oracle to Apache Hbase and the mager is looking for only the best of the best! Solid experience/understanding of Retail/ecommerce industry and best practices a must for this role. This is a high profile role requiring solid written and verbal communication skills and a true consultant mentality. This is not a management role but rather hands on Database Architect opportunity.

Required Skills:

• Must have strong ecommerce experience - catalog systems preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of Apache HBase and Oracle database architecture
• Will be working as an individual contributor with a team of architects.
• Senior Oracle Database developer preferred (but this role more focused on the HBase side then Oracle side)
• Experience in large data systems architecture
• Hadoop/"Big Data" experience preferred
• Retail/POS systems strongly preferred
• Websphere ecommerce platform experience preferred but not required
