Post Office Manager - Perth (8972BR) Perth, Scotland
The Accountabilities
- As Post Offices operate within a WHSmith store, you will be working in collaboration with the WHSmith Store Manager to ensure a faultless customer experience
- Create a customer service led culture which is always striving to improve performance
- Ensure all staff deliver a professional, friendly service to all customers
- Drive sales initiatives and ensure team are having conversations with customers to maximise cross selling opportunities
- Ensure fully compliant with our current Financial Services Association, Anti Money Laundering, Custom and Excise and other relevant legislation
- Delivery and communication of business objectives, leading your team to maximise individual and team performance
- Fully accountable for the Branch Profit and Loss account
- Monitor security processes and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
- Work with Operations Manager and Area Manager to deliver store and area targets
- Manage employee lifecycle from the recruitment to appraisals, training and disciplinary process
The Requirements
- Five years continuous referencing and consent to undertake a criminal record check
- Demonstrable ability to manage and develop a team
- A background in retail, financial services or Travel desirable
- Previous experience of working to and achieving demanding targets within tight budgets
- Working knowledge of managing a stores profit and loss account
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external parties
Excellent organisation and communication skills are also essential.
