Linux Engineer (Automation)

Long term contract

$40-50/hr DOE

As an Linux (Automation) Engineer, you will be responsible to help with the conversion of business requirements into technical network designs and implementation scripts to drive network automation. You will work with Python and Ansible to automate Cisco networking infrastructure in a Linux/Unix environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Linux Engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• 3+ years of hands-on automation experience.
• 2+ years of professional Python and Ansible experience.
• Strong understanding of DevOps concepts.
• Knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments with a good understanding of networking concepts.
• Technical knowledge of Wide Area Network infrastructure and Cisco Products

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help transform complex problems and abstract concepts into executable technology solutions for SDN (Software-defined networking)
• Write Python scripts and Ansible network modules to enable automatic configuration, provisioning, management and testing of network devices.
• Support the development and deployment of network designs with adherence to technical and solution standards.
