The role;

Working under the direction of the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant will support the work of the marketing team on projects focused at maximising company profits including improving brand awareness and developing sales strategies in the form of demand generation activities. Excellent organisational skills are a main requirement for this role. Responsibilities:

  • Social media management comprising scheduling social media posts for the company’s professional networks on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, at least a week in advance.
  • Assisting team members with day to day marketing tasks and coordinating marketing projects and activities as requested.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with the production of additional marketing communications, such as flyers, brochures and exhibition-related projects.
  • Track competitor activity by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix used by competitors
  • Helps to plan promotional events hosted by the company's marketing department
  • Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases
  • Marketing degree and/or an equivalent qualification in Marketing/Creative Arts and has a flair for learning about the latest technology.
  • A good team player – able to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work with a good understanding of the context of the tasks required.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy within their work.
  • Competent in managing conflicting workloads with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the principles of marketing and communications required within a B2B professional services/commercial environment. (Although previous marketing experience is not essential as full training will be provided, it would be of distinct advantage.)
