The Role
This role is to work with suppliers in the Far East and USA in raising and progressing orders and interacting with forecasting and IT systems within the interesting environment of a modern musical instrument and professional sound system manufacturer and supplier.
Purchase Order Processor Duties
• To prepare forecasting systems ready for product specialists
• To authorise purchase orders and to then place these authorised purchase orders with international suppliers
• To progress purchase orders through to eventual delivery both directly to customers and to the warehouse facility
• To deal directly with suppliers using initiative to resolve any issues that may arise
• To communicate with the parent company in the USA as well as the office in China
• To maintain latest information on deliveries, etc. on the product data management systems including suspended receipt processing
• To communicate with shipping companies to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.

This role would ideally suit an individual who is highly organised and is a real team player, with a pleasant and friendly manner.
Key Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required
• Good general competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, Sage (although not essential as training can be given), etc. (training will also be given on the company’s data management system)
• Previous purchase order processing experience
• Extremely organised and process orientated
• Previous experience in dealing with shipping
• Customer focused
• Good communication skills at all levels, with a professional telephone manner
• Excellent attention to detail
