FREELANCE SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – BIRMINGHAM – £360 TO £380 PER DAY

This is a brand new LONG TERM role for an increasingly successful contractor working on a wide range of civil engineering projects ranging from £5m to £80m. This is all related to HS2 and due to recent securing of contracts they are keen to bring in a Senior Quantity Surveyor for all the ECI works.
The role will be ongoing and varied and will provide the opportunity to work across a wide range of iconic infrastructure and highways projects related to one of the biggest construction projects of all time. Duties will include but not be limited to: -
- Management of design phase from a commercial perspective
- Cost engineering to provide best value
- Agreeing target cost with the client
- Development of procurement schedule
- Preparing bills of quantities from drawings and sending out enquiries to subcontractors
- Letting of contracts with bespoke terms
- Must have a minimum of 5 years Quantity Surveying experience
- Ideally working knowledge of both the JCT and NEC form of contract
- Must have previous infrastructure and highways experience
