QUANTITY SURVEYOR – MIDLANDS - £55K - £65K + CAR + BENEFITS

Our Client is a European company who have gone from strength to strength in the UK marketplace. They specialise within a very niche and growing sector of Construction which incorporates Civil, Building and M&E and they have achieved substantial growth through national frameworks and word of mouth.

They are specifically looking to recruit a highly driven Quantity Surveyor who has 6 years plus experience and proven experience of managing their own projects. The plan is to provide training and mentorship in order to develop and promote this individual in line with the predicted growth already in the pipeline. This will lead to senior level and ultimately there is no cap as to where you can take this role. Duties will include: -

• Involvement from design stage – projects are very technically challenging and generally constructed within logistically challenging locations so ECL involves architects, structural engineers, local authorities and a multitude of specialist subcontractors
• Researching subcontractors throughout the country and setting up commercially viable supply chain partners for procurement across a number of sites
• Subcontract administration from negotiating terms, agreeing variations and making timely payments in line with the contract
• Prepare, review and complete material requisitions for supply only orders – some materials procured abroad
• Producing monthly cost reports and forecasts for the Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Perform site remeasures to check subcontract variations and costs on site

To apply for this role, you require the following: -

• Must have proven history of running own site based projects
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and ideally be degree qualified
