ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR – PRESTON – £20K TO £32K PER ANNUM

Our client is a growing regional contractor with a current turnover of c£200m as a group. This role is working within the water team delivering both Civils and MEICA projects. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside the site teams to ensure profitability on a number of mechanical and electrical and civil engineering schemes ranging from £100k to £3m in value.
Duties include but are not limited to: -
- Take offs from drawings
- Aiding with the management of subcontract accounts from procurement to final account
- Attend internal and external commercial review meetings
- Manage commercial performance against business targets
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
- Final account negotiation
- Ideally degree qualified or with construction related HNC/HND
- Ideally have some experience of working on either MEICA or Civil Engineering schemes
