PROPOSALS ENGINEER / ESTIMATOR – WATFORD - £COMPETITIVE SALARY + PACKAGE

Our client is an industry leader within the water sector specialising in MEICA design, delivery and commissioning. They have made huge strides in the UK market, having been awarded over £40m worth of work recently. They have significant strategies in place to grow the UK business and are seeking a Proposals Engineer / Estimator to help achieve their commercial targets. • Support bid team to achieve deadlines
• Preparation of tender and pre-qualification documents to secure future works
• Carry out detailed take-offs
• Compile Requests for Information and ensure a detailed response from suppliers
• Identify and engage supply chain to maximise commercial opportunities and savings during the bid process
• Develop bills of quantities for tenders
• Liaise between M&E, Civil & Structural Designers
• Continually seek alternative business opportunities which may impact on competitiveness, profitability and growth of the business

• Ideally hold a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
• Understand how to build estimates from first principals without designs or bills of quantities
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience within a relevant sector or discipline
