Capita, FTSE 100 and leading Business Process Outsourcer, is seeking a Service Design Architect to join their Enterprise Services team to be responsible for Service Design activities.

The purpose of Service Design Architect within Enterprise Services is to ensure that:

• All existing service contracts and those proposed through the Sales process are deliverable by the Enterprise Service organisation.
• That standard methods and practices are used wherever possible across the contract base for Enterprise Services
• For all new contracts a Service Design exists to guide the Transition or Implementation teams.
• For existing contracts the Service Designs are maintained to reflect the delivery of the service. This will be effected through Change Management and periodic review.
The role also includes:
• Guiding the implementation of a service culture; new service management tools and all associated processes within Enterprise Services.
• Providing a focus for ITIL and ISO20000 advice and communication for Enterprise Services.

So seeking applicants with the following experience and skills:

• Proven experience of IT service management.
• Experience in service design, bid management and understanding of cost models.
• Able to create solutions and negotiate with senior management
• Knowledge of ISO 20000.
• Experience of IT support, development and delivery in an ITIL environment.
• Proven experience of implementing ITIL best practice processes.
• Proven track record of business change management.
• Management of large-scale change within an IT environment.
• Experience of managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
• Experience of developing, communicating and implementing documented procedures.
• Experience of producing, developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Good line management experience.
• Full Project life cycle experience.
• People / team management experience
• Good PC skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• ITIL Certified, ideally ITIL v3 with service offering module
• Software development exposure would be great.
• Excellent communication skills i.e. Verbal, Written, Presentation.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• Analytical approach to project delivery and problem solving.
• Can work on own initiative.
• Flexible approach to working hours and to travel.
• Ability to think creatively.
• Able to undergo CRB check if successful

Ideally the following as well but not essential:

• Hold ITIL Service Strategy and Continual Service Improvement Certificates
• Hold ITIL Service management Expert qualification or ITIL Service Management ‘Manager’s’ certificate
• Experience of working  with, supporting or implementing process & procedure within the Enterprise Services environment.
• Knowledge of the Enterprise Services business.
• Experienced in working for a 3rd party service delivery organisation.
• Strong training, mentoring and performance management experience.
• ITSM Consultancy experience
• Hold ITIL Service Design Certificate
• Valid UK Driving licence
