- THE ROLE;

- Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer to cover the North West of England, Manchester, Oldham, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool, Carlisle, up to the Scottish border.

- The successful Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer will be selling 90% and hiring 10%, a broad range of geospatial solutions.

- Products include GNSS, mobile mapping, Robotic Total Stations, 3D laser scanners, drones, software & scanning products.

- You will be selling to construction, utilities, Rail, BIM, Highways, Government, the Police, marine and archaeology.

- These capital equipment products range in price from a few hundred pounds, to £40k+ and large orders could go up to £500k+ if you're securing a large client buying 100's of smaller
lower value items, of 10's of larger, higher value products.

- The role is 50% account management and 50% new business, with the sales person inheriting circa 100-150 live buying accounts, with 500+ on the CRM, so plenty of leads to chase.

- You will also have access to Barbour ABI leads and glenigan leads.

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

- The ideal Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer will be working in the geospatial market for a competitor, or be a land surveyor, with a positive, engaging, sales led attitude, wanting to move into sales.

- Our client is also open to seeing great sales professionals from any sector, ideally having sold a product with a technical bias.

- Great training is offered, so if you have a technology/construction software background, or you've sold capital equipment, or have sold & demonstrated products into any of the following; construction, utilities, Rail, BIM, Highways, Government, the Police, marine and archaeology, or engineering sectors, then that would be also be great.

- You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a flexible, can do attitude.

- You will have a desire to succeed within a sales environment.

- You will be able to show progression in your career & be a strong presenter.

- Understand the concept of spatial awareness, willing to learn in an ever evolving technology led environment.

- THE REMUNERATION;

- £30,000- £35,000+ Basic salary

- Uncapped Quarterly commission of £10K- £20k++. The best sales person last year earned an extra £40k in commission, so excellent earning potential.
