Senior/Lead Web Developer (Groovy on Grails, PHP, MVC framework, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX) - Permanent - £35,000-£45,000 - London - Start date: within next 4 weeks.
My London based client is looking for a Senior/Lead Web Developer with Groovy on Grails Developer experience to work alongside the existing development team
In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design and development of the content management systems.
You must have Groovy on Grails experience, in addition to JavaScript, CSS, PHP and MVC framework skills are also required
Additional Responsibilities include
* Lead technical design and build of all front-end components.
* Leading the development team of programmers.
* Write object-oriented applications.
* Create templates and applications using Groovy on Grails or similar technologies.
* Write documentation (e.g. technical specifications) for both internal and external use.
Essential Skills and Abilities
Hands-on development skills and industry experience all of the following:
* Groovy on Grails.
* HTML.
* CSS.
* Object Oriented JavaScript including the use of AJAX.
You will also need experience in one or more of the following:
* MVC frameworks
* ActionScript
* Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by 3rd parties.
* Experience of working with code repositories (e.g. GIT, SVN) and bug tracking tools (e.g. Trac, JIRA).
Finally any experience in the following will be a benefit, but not essential.
* XML based data sources, JSON etc.
* XSLT
* Amazon EC2
