Looking for a procurement manager with category management and strong indirect procurement experience based in KL

Must be able to lead a diverse category portfolio that includes engineering, MRO, site related services (manpower supply, waste management and water treatment), packaging, travel, IT and professional services to deliver value and manage risk aligned with the Group Procurement objectives

1. Develop and implement category sourcing strategies for indirect categories and services across the Asia region aligned with the Group Procurement objectives.
2. Management of the strategic sourcing life cycle, from requirements, market analysis, supplier selection, tendering, contract and price negotiation, through to post-contract award SRM and performance / SLA assessment
3. Identification of process improvement opportunities, and promoting procurement best practice in a multi-site operation across Asia
4. Liaising cross-functionally with a diverse internal community – e.g.: Operations, QSHE, R&D, Businesses, Finance, HR
5. Delivering best procurement value: cost savings, quality, flexibility, governance and strategic supplier relationships
6. Be an integral part of the the Procurement Asia team working with stakeholders across the Asia region to promote the function and develop standard processes and governance
7. Demonstrable category management and procurement experience across multiple categories, typically Engineering & MRO, site related services, packaging, travel, IT and professional services
