.NET Production Support

Job Description:

.NET Production Support Summary:

Signature Consultants has an opportunity for a .Net Production Support person.  The candidate will provide support after the solution goes live. Production support from this role will typically fall into the third level of support: minor enhancements, batch optimization, patches, etc. The incumbent will respond to all problem reports, monitor, evaluate, and report all performance issues. They may collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. The candidate will work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.  This position typically requires 5-7 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Problem Management – responsible for the lifecycle of problem tickets; including prioritization, root cause analysis, corrective actions (code development, testing, implementation and communication), and post problem management
• Ownership of problem root cause analysis and remediation
• Chronic issue investigation for critical application issues
• Lead proactive monitoring review and implementation
• Write and maintain system documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Oracle development experience that includes Oracle 11g and above
• Strong experience in data analysis, data modeling, and database design that includes the use of data modeling tools and SQL-based queries
• Strong experience reviewing and documenting requirements and proposing technical solutions to technical and business stakeholders
• Demonstrated understanding of object oriented concepts, design, and architecture patterns

• Should have strong documentation skills and strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle best practices
• Should have experience working with offshore/remote delivery teams Relevant Prior Financial Industry work experience is desirable
• Prior experience in Equities and desired contributions is a plus

Desired Skills:

• Design, build, and implementation of complex business applications and/or large-volume databases on complex enterprise platforms.
• Ability to analyze and represent the opportunities and risks associated with technology solutions and with adherence to architectural vision and direction
• Development using standard ETL tools and concepts (e.g. IBM DataStage), Business Intelligence reports (e.g., Oracle Report), and data virtualization tools (e.g Composite)
• Technical depth in areas such as meta modeling, graphical modeling using UML, deployment technologies, application security, enterprise application integration, iterative development, and/or parametric modeling/estimating
