IT Business Analyst III Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an IT Business Analyst III for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ. The Business Analyst will be responsible for answering end user questions/queries, business reporting questions, and SQL queries to assist with data analysis. He or she needs to be hands on with day to day operations and is required to have business knowledge related to treasury or risk services.

Responsibilities:

• The key function of this role is to interact with the business (speak their language), understand the reporting associated, and help facilitate their execution by answering questions and investigating issues identified
• Collaborate with global technology partners and teams
• Request management, user management, investigation into application responsiveness and performance issues
• In carrying out the production duties, need to follow the client's production processes and guidelines, document technical details both for the benefit of team knowledge sharing and for production audit requirements
• Write SQL for data analysis
• Work directly with the business to address data and reporting questions/concerns
• Keep a schedule, make tight deadlines, and work timely and independently
• Prioritize and engage management in situations where prioritization is a challenge
• Escalate when items/issues are not addressed
• Lead meetings and know all parts of a meeting
• Work closely with the business partners and development team
• Assist with Operational Risk deliverables

Qualifications:

• Have a strong business background with an ability to understand business requirements and regulatory and management reporting
• Ability to write SQL, investigate data gaps and issues, and work directly with business partners is critical
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Provide subject matter expertise associated with business knowledge and end user functions
