Delivery Architect/ DevOps Architect (15248975/001) Southend-On-Sea, England
Advantage Resourcing is seeking Delivery Architect (Multiple Vacancies) for a Public Sector based in Southend. This is initially 5 months contract and the rate is £530 - £630 UMBRELLA / £400 – 504.17 PAYE (Deemed Inside IR35- Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and where a worker elects to provide their services through an intermediary (such as a personal services company) then income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary).

Essential experience:
• Experience and understanding of DevOps methodology and its practical implementation
• Cloud implementation experience e.g. AWS, AZURE etc.
• Ability to analyse complex multi-dimensional requirements and map to technical design and architecture
• Demonstrable track record of successfully taking an evolutionary architecture approach to software architecture
• Strong design and implementation experience with SOA, messaging, middleware and infrastructure, user and machine APIs, as well as related networking and security technologies
• Experience with Agile methodologies (TDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc) and developing product roadmaps, backlogs and measurable success criteria, and of writing user stories
• Experience with continuous integration, automated deployment, testing and the relevant tooling i.e. Ansible
• Working knowledge of Unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X
• Experience developing and using public and private web-based APIs,security and performance issues
• Familiarity with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc
• Software engineering experience on cloud hosted platforms preferably Linux (RHEL)
• Experience in leading a technical team and defining / improving service processes and procedures
• Experience building server-side web applications and detailed knowledge of at least one programming language preferably Java
Desirable:
• Previous experience working within Government Departments / Public Sector
• Experience of handling large data sets
• Experience with open source solutions and community
