Salary: GBP19000 - GBP22000 per annum

A successful manufacturing business based near Goole is currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team.

The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for managing the company’s purchase ledger efficiently and ensuring all supplier payments are made within relevant timeframes.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the purchase ledger is up to date
  • Obtaining relevant authorisation for supplier invoices
  • Raising bi-monthly payment runs using Sage
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and accounts
  • Updating cash forecast
  • Generating customer credit notes when required
  • Other had hoc duties as required

This role is based near Goole and is commutable from Pontefract, Doncaster, Selby and surrounding areas.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous purchase ledger or sales ledger experience, we are especially interested in speaking with candidates who have volume ledger experience.

The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will have excellent attention to detail and will be comfortable with accountancy software such as Sage, Xero or Quickboooks.
