A successful manufacturing business based in Kirkbymoorside are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support their fast-paced finance team. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking to learn and develop in their career.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is experiencing proactive change, the successful Assistant Accountant will be a key player in the implementation of new systems and processes. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be offered excellent development opportunities.

The Assistant Accountant will provide indispensable service to the finance team, underpinning the wider financial stability of the business. Specific duties will include:

• Matching, checking and coding invoice
• Making payments via BACs and Cheques
• Setting up new supplier accounts
• Processing staff expenses
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Petty cash management
• Any other adhoc tasks required by the Finance Manager or Finance Director

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant position will have previous experience in a finance role, you will be confident managing ledgers and getting involved with credit control. We are keen to speak with candidates who are confident users of MS Excel and have previous experience using accountancy software such as Sage, Syspro, Xero or Quickbooks.

The successful Assistant Accountant will be proactive, with excellent communication skills and a good team player.

This position is easily commutable from Kirkbymoorside, Malton, Pickering, York, Scarborough and surrounding areas. Free parking is on offer, a generous salary and a holiday allowance of 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
