A manufacturing business based between York and Malton are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their head office team, assisting with all aspects of treasury and group reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Accountant who has started studying their CIMA/ACCA.

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, responsibilities will include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Stock weekly and monthly reporting
• Board and bank pack preparation
• Monthly intercompany agreement and matrix reporting
• Identifying and developing improvements to processes and controls
• Provision of weekly and monthly reporting using SAP
• Assisting in the year end activities for the site
• Ad Hoc reporting for Group

The successful Assistant Accountant will be able to work to tight deadlines and will have strong interpersonal skills. Previous experience using MS Excel to an advanced level is essential (vlookup, pivot tables, sumifs) is essential.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience using software such as SAP or Anaplan, however this is not essential.
