Salary: GBP19000 - GBP23000 per annum

A leader in environmental services is recruiting a Payroll and Finance Assistant to join their team based North or York, this role is commutable from Thirsk, Malton, Boroughbridge and surrounding areas.

The successful Payroll and Finance Assistant will be responsible for the production and processing of weekly and monthly in-house payroll as well as other general finance duties.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities for the Payroll and Finance Assistant will include:

  • Running a weekly payroll of circa 70 employees
  • Running a monthly payroll of circa 30 employees
  • Reporting and making payments to HMRC and other legal bodies
  • Accurate VAT reporting
  • Purchase ledger control
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Assisting with year-end

We are keen to speak with candidates who have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and VAT knowledge. Previous experience of NetSuite payroll software would be advantageous.

The successful Payroll and Finance Assistant will be competent in the use of MS Office, as well as previous experience using accountancy software such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks or Access Dimensions.
