Senior Security Analyst (HA-12390393) Manhattan, New York
A Top Global Investment Bank is looking for a Talented Senior IT Security Analyst to help lead the efforts of the security team. This role will involve a regular review of the threat surface and main risks, preparation of threat monitoring and detection controls, development of security incident response plans, and coordination of incident response.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor threats arrayed against the bank and develop appropriate detective controls.
- Ensure audit logging controls remain appropriate to detect threats.
- Oversee development of use cases for integration into our Security Incident and Event Management platform.
- Develop, maintain, and periodically test security incident response plans.
- Perform threat assessments across the technology environment to identify high value targets and prioritize additional detective controls.
- Develop and maintain interconnections with peers in other regions for an efficient and optimized response to security events and incidents.
- Produce Key Performance and Risk Indicators.
- Contribute to a management awareness program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Computer Science degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years professional work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in an Information Security role.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and organizational and work documentation proficiency.
- Good communicator
- Adaptable to changing priorities, handle multiple assignments, and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Coordinate actions from several different teams.
- Experience managing Security Incident and Event Management Platforms and related use case development.
- Expertise in threat detection techniques.
- CISSP or CISM certification.
