We have an immediate opening for a Terminal Manager in Oak Bluff, MB. Reporting to Risk and Operations Manager, you are accountable to lead the processes and systems within the terminal operations in this hands-on role. You will plan and execute daily operations to ensure product quality and Terminal services meet the expectations of our customers.

CHALLENGES WE OFFER


  • Manage the daily operations of the business through a high level of interaction, training, coaching and development of a high performing team;
  • You will support and coordinate on a daily basis a team of 6 to 12 people;
  • Co-ordinate the shipping and receiving of large volumes within sensitive timelines to meet customer expectations;
  • Design and implement an effective Repairs and Maintenance Plan that relates to the expense budget for the Terminal business;
  • Align and schedule resources including manpower, machinery, materials to meet budget and projected business requirements;
  • Lead and support a strong safety culture to help mitigate the risk of incident or injury by implementing EH&S protocol and procedures. Maintain housekeeping and ensure effective quality control protocols are followed;
  • Collaborate with the Agrico Canada L.P procurement and logistic teams to manage the physical movement, storage and quality of fertilizer.



YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

  • You have a post-secondary education, an asset;
  • You have a minimum 5 years of relevant and practical experience in a managerial role;
  • You have strong problem solving skills, analytical skills and mechanical aptitudes;
  • You are able to perform physical tasks and operate heavy equipment as needed. Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and work in dusty conditions with changing températures;
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills;
  • You are able to work extended hours to meet business demands when needed;
  • You have an agriculture background in production and fertilizer handling, an asset.
