We are now looking for strong customer service representatives to join our Life & Annuity Claims team. Under the direction of the Manager, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) must: • Develop the skills to be responsible for analyzing death and waiver of premium claims. • Prepare well written communications to beneficiaries / representatives, internal counsel, underwriting and senior management. • Must accurately update all information in claim's systems. • Possess and demonstrate ability to assess the information gathered at the point of call and make appropriate decisions. • Exhibit excellent verbal and listening skills, be detail oriented and have the desire and ability to provide customer service in a professional positive manner while maintaining an empathetic voice with the beneficiary / representative. • Review documents and information and make sound decisions based on knowledge, training and experience. The CSR will undergo a comprehensive on-site training program to learn about the insurance industry, product and policy provisions and transaction processing. We are looking for individuals who will excel in customer service, directly impacting our customer's claim experience and ultimately the company's overall success.

Bachelors Degree with GPA of 3.0 preferred and or exceptional performance at NYL in last 1-2 years. Communications, Business, Liberal Arts, Economics or other applicable field. Appropriate customer service experience is considered a plus. Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail as individual will be handling inbound phone calls and multi-tasking navigation through numerous applications. Soft-skills with professional demeanor for all interaction with clients. Strong accountability and customer service skills to provide exceptional service.
