Office of the General Counsel/Employment Law Group

Description:  Provide administrative/paralegal support to Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, including, routine administrative support and support in employment related, benefit and environmental matters, including but not limited to, providing support activity related to litigation matters, document review and production, preparation of correspondence and review and preparation of various legal documents as delegated.

Specific Duties:

Provide assistance with all employment-related matters from inception, including file management, document collection and tracking.

Provide routine administrative support, including filing, calendar management, telephone coverage, routing mail, travel coordination and expense reporting.

Provide support to Human Resources Department and other internal business groups under direction of counsel, including supporting HR policy review and updates, preparation of  agreements and amendments and benefit plan documents.

Assist with processing and tracking of legal expenditures, including preparation and update of employment litigation reports and resolution of billing issues/discrepancies.

Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare written communications or report of findings at direction of counsel.

Continuing legal education management for Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel.

Complete other duties and special projects as assigned

 Required Experience & Technical Skills:

Bachelors Degree.  Minimum of three month paralegal certificate (excluding online certification) or equivalent and one year of related work experience.  Prior paralegal or legal experience in a law firm or corporate environment preferred.   Experience with Human Resources or benefits issues a plus.  Analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills required.   Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment.  Candidate must be professional, dependable and able to handle confidential information. 

Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and other office programs as needed.
