Manager, Insights and Analytics -Sales Force Effectiveness (Ext_50460986_001_Manager, Insights and A) Stamford, Connecticut

Incumbent will manage the efforts related to field performance and provide insights to sales and marketing management teams. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development and completion of tactics and administration / oversight of selected projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

To develop high level, insightful, and actionable sales analysis to provide a competitive advantage to Sales and Managed Markets Leadership.
Evaluate ongoing field strategies (national and sub national) and leverage advanced analytical techniques to drive optimal levels of revenue and maximize profits. These analyses, insights and evaluations will be the basis from which Sales and Managed Markets Leadership will alter their strategies and resources to improve business outcomes.

Partner with Sales and Marketing management team to provide insights into sales trends and opportunities designed to enhance sales and corporate revenue.

Oversee the timely delivery of information to the field, analysis and assessments of trends in the market that will drive business direction and support the achievement of corporate goals and objectives.

Accountable for driving continuous process improvements in reporting formats such as dashboards that incorporate new methodologies and provide concise applicable data that facilitates speedy business decision making.

Build sophisticated algorithms and models with available data sources to solve business situations and/or enhance targeting efforts and physician profiling.

Communicates findings, conclusions and recommendations drawn from analysis in both written report and verbal presentation as needed.

Create, implement, and maintain models that support activities related to: performance, sales measurement, competitive segmentation, customer analysis / insights, promotion efforts, etc.

Measure success of field programs / initiatives by developing impact analysis and optimization.

Assist in the development and leads field modeling effectiveness efforts for: targeting, call planning, sampling, speaker programs, resource deployment, etc.

Position will manage, coach and mentor staff members.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Field (Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research etc.) is required.

Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or related quantitative field is preferred.

Required Experience & Technical Requirements

5+ years of experience in applying analytical techniques to decision making in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry incorporating some of the following skills: Data analytics, Targeting, Call Planning, Optimization, Simulation, Decision Support, Statistics, Optimization, and/or Mass-Data Analysis. Diversification and depth of subject matter excellence is preferred.

Prior experience working with relevant pharmaceutical sales data sources (IMS Health, Wolters Kluwer, etc.), sampling, call detailing, formulary data, etc. is preferred.

Strong communication skills are required - ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, experience presenting analysis results to senior management.

Experience working for a data consulting firm like ZS Associates, Cognizant or other sales force optimization/effectiveness experience is preferred.
