Sr. Analyst, Market Research (Forecasting, Analytics) (50492066) Stamford, Connecticut
Incumbent is responsible for analyzing the secondary market research data that is used as a foundation in all of the Forecasting Analytics and Market Research work. Position will be responsible for pulling and analyzing data and providing interpretation of same on a project and product basis. Position will communicate project results with persons at all levels of the organization.
Incumbent will be assigned to one or more in-line brands and will be responsible for producing regular national level secondary reports using standard IMS audits and other data. They will work with supervisor and/or others on ad hoc analyses using a variety of data sources. The incumbent will also be responsible for interacting with a variety of internal customers (e.g., marketing, manufacturing, finance, etc.) to pull and assemble data to solve a variety of business problems. The incumbent may be assigned other projects and responsibilities, depending on skills and experience.
BA or BS required. Advanced degree or an MBA is preferred, but not required.
Required Experience & Technical Requirements
0-3 years of market research or marketing analytics experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Very high attention to detail and a strong work ethic to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment is mandatory.
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to articulate the pros and cons of different analytical approaches to a problem.
Ability to derive business insights from data and relay these insights in a clear and concise manner.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience required (must be able to rapidly manipulate large amounts of data, accurately, efficiently and neatly).
Experience working with US secondary market research data, including in-depth familiarity with major pharmaceutical industry data sources (IMS, SDI, etc.) is a plus.
