Fund Accounting Analyst

This Top Tier Asset Management firm are looking for a Fund Accountant Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This individual will cover a variety of functions ranging from being responsible for maintaining all financial records pertaining to the Alternatives Investment Portfolios to contributing to Fund Accounting Oversight Framework and monthly reporting of its activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage relationships with all counterparties; and provide timely valuations and cash flow reconciliations on the portfolio of investments
• Provide close monitoring, and regular management information on the investments and ensure all records are maintained on the Burgiss system, and ICON
• Responsible for alternative investments including PE and Property fund accounting and reporting
• Fund Accounting oversight for alternatives funds’ NAV
• Build counterparty relationships to ensure clear information flow and manage multiple stakeholder relationships and act as first contact for TPA, Fund Managers, and also for external auditors on these investments
• Provide analytical review on the portfolio’s including drafting quarterly commentaries on movements, liaison with Fund Managers, and collation of bi-annual Director Valuation paper for Valuation Oversight Group (VOG) and the Audit Committee
• Understand Risk Appetite statements and how they apply to the business area

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Part or Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Understand trade life cycle and investment management processes for private equity and properties
• Understanding of regulated products, onshore and offshore
• Relevant Fund Accounting experience
• Asset Management experience (*Desirable*)
• Experience in interacting with multiple departments and individuals
• Familiarity with Burgiss PE Fund Administration and reporting software package; or equivalent packages (*advantageous*)
• Good understanding of Investment instruments including: equities, fixed interest, money market, derivatives (futures, options, swaps, CFD, CDS etc)
• Good PC skills – Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
