Portable Appliance tester required for work at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth to undertake the testing of portable appliances accross the site.
Duties to include:
Interpret work instructions and perform the work to time, cost and quality.
Set to work by the use of test equipment.
Carry out functional tests and surveys.
Competent to use general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role of electrical tester.
Cleaning up of own work arisings.
Any other task within the individual’s competence as directed by the company.
Successful applicants must hold a certificate in Portable Appliance Testing.
Suitable candidates must hold a certficate for the inspection & testing of electrical equipment.
