Our client, a global supplier of technologies and components in the passenger car, light and heavy-duty commercial and off-highway vehicle markets, has an opportunity for an CAD Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design/development of Electric Supercharger and Turbo-Generator products and test rigs and fixtures
• Manage incoming OEM/Tier 1 CAD data and undertake vehicle packaging studies as required.
• CAD software version management.
• Liaise with Electronics Designers to package electronics/PCB’s into mechanical design.
• Liaise with external specialist consultants, component suppliers and manufacturing partners as required.

Applicants must have experience in the design of complex mechanical assemblies, a very good understanding of Pro E and CATIA V5, be minimum HNC qualified and experienced in solid modelling.

It would also be advantageous to have worked within the Automotive or aerospace sector, have design for manufacture and version control experience, knowledge of design for sand-casting/die casting and an understanding of mechanical design of rotating machines and workshop and toolroom processes.
