Supplier Quality Engineer (AUTOMOTIVE /AEROSPACE/ ELECTRONICS)
A new vacancy for a Supplier Quality Engineer with European division of global US manufacturer of high-performance pneumatic control components & systems. Based at the division's site in Milton Keynes, the Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring overall supplier quality levels and coordinating cross-functional teams with suppliers for measuring, improving and monitoring suppliers' performance against specific quality criteria.
Candidates should be qualified to degree-level in a engineering discipline with at least 3-5yrs experience in a Quality role in a similar industry (such as AUTOMOTIVE, AEROSPACE, MEDICAL or ELECTRONICS). He/she will be have a proven track record in supplier auditing (to ISO 9001 or TS 16949 standards) with knowledge of Quality Improvement tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and/or Control Plans.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good practical understanding of Continuous Improvement best practice, Lean and Six Sigma, combined with the ability to implement Lean supplier quality systems & procedures with real ENTHUSIASM. The role will require frequent supplier visits so candidates must be willing to travel on a regular basis.
