Temporary Setter/Filler – Aerospace
Gloucester/Cheltenham
Hourly rate: £9.89
Our client is a worldwide market leader in abrasive solutions. It is the leading UK manufacturer of precision grinding products supplying blue chip aerospace, automotive and engineering companies on a global basis.
Due to an increased workload they have an opportunity for a temporary Diamond Setter/Filling Operator
Main tasks are:
Setting moulds for the Rotary Dresser Products
- To set both reverse plated and infiltrated Rotary Truers with the required diamond and setting method / pattern
- To control diamond and other materials within the area
- To ensure that all setting is undertaken in a timely manner and within deadline dates

Filling of moulds.
- To fill infiltrated products using various manual filling methods
- To fill infiltrated products using the centrifugal spinning method of manufacture
- To prepare product, load and control the furnacing process
- To change furnace gas banks and monitor gas levels and usage
- To control powder stocks and ensure this is available relating to production orders
- To mix powder as required for production process
- To control and clean alloy stock
Good standard of education such as technical school training or apprenticeship or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar environment necessary.
Applicants must have an eye for detail and a degree of dexterity.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
37 hours per week
Monday-Thursday 7.30 am – 4.00 pm, with half an hour lunch.
Friday 7.30 am – 12.30 pm.
