Proposals Engineer Permanent £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per annum  Days Skelmersdale

The Role

The role is for a Proposals Engineer working as part of a growing business in Skelmersdale. You will be a key part of the projects team and will be responsible for liaising with clients and managing projects throughout the scope of their life-cycle. This will involve material requirement planning, material procurement and purchasing and also risk mitigation and client negotiation. The client is a general fabrication business specialising in the manufacture of mechanical handling systems.

• Generation of client proposals for future business.
• Procurement, estimating and purchasing of materials.
• General Fabrication business.
• Project engineering and project management with some client-facing aspects.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; You will have exposure in a similar position and must have worked in a fabrication/engineering environment. You will have previous experience in a client-facing role. You will be confident in quoting, estimating and procurement of materials and will have previous experience in a project engineering or proposals position.
