Project Planner

Project Planner required to work within an automotive business co-ordinating for a smooth process of distribution and return of vehicle parts within different department of the business.

The primary requirement of our role entails responsibility for the readiness of portable, rugged on vehicle instrumentation and pre-prepared prototype parts and consumables Eg:- Our customers being Powertrain, Climate Control, Thermal Test, Electrical, Hybrid, Body systems, Chassis etc. The requirement of this role is implementation and management of a process by which we develop our infrastructure and facilities to enable the effective control and distribution/ return of vehicle parts between the Instrumentation, Material Stores and Vehicle Build teams.

Skills Required:
3 KEY SKILLS Be able to demonstrate that they are well organised and methodical, and able to create a strategic approach by which we can improve our performance, effectiveness and efficiency throughout the engineering and manufacturing environments. Evidence of good communication skills and all round team player with the ability to deliver projects against tight timescales in a challenging environment. PC literate with experience of logistics and materials/ parts control systems.


Experience Required:
"Educated to HNC level in Instrumentation or a Project Planning discipline, or a closely associated engineering discipline. Practical experience of the engineering environment and a good understanding of automotive principles and techniques. You'll liaise with our Planning and Build teams, departmental customers (CoC's) and MP&L to ensure that our plans and strategy are aligned to both the Engineering and Manufacturing work streams. By developing and delivering a clearly defined `readiness¿ process for all vehicle and powertrain programmes, you'll coordinate the scheduling and availability/return of unique BOM vehicle parts between either our main stores teams and/or the Instrumentation teams working within the Pilot Plants.
